ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Detectives with the Douglas County Sheriff's office say they arrested a Roseburg man, charging him with physically abusing his 4-month-old daughter.

Authorities say they were contacted by the Department of Human Services on Thursday, regarding a little girl they said had "unexplained and suspicious injuries."

Detectives say that during the investigation they learned that the baby was recently seen by her pediatrician, who reported she suffered from bruises on her face, dehydration, infected fingers, broken ribs, leg fractures and knee trauma.

The Sheriff's office interviewed both parents.

After interviewing the baby's father, Tyler Anthony Lander, 23, of Roseburg, he was arrested.

Detectives lodged him in the Douglas County Jail, charging him with three counts of third degree assault and two counts of fourth degree assault.
