After lightning delay, Broncos bust Baltimore 49-27 in season opener

After a 33 minute lightning delay, the 2012 Superbowl Champion Baltimore Ravens started off the the NFL season Thursday night against the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium.

After trailing the Ravens by a field goal going into the second half, the Broncos shifted the momentum and led 35-17 at the end of the 3rd.

Thursday's season opener ended with Denver beating Baltimore at home, 49-27.

Denver quarterback Peyton Manning tied the NFL touchdown pass record with 7 completions, only the 6th QB in the league's history to do so. 

The Ravens, defending Super Bowl champs, returned to Denver for a rematch of last season's epic AFC Divisional Playoff, which the Baltimore had won, 38-35.
