EUGENE, Ore. -- A man ran from the scene after rear-ending an LTD bus Sunday afternoon while the bus was pulled over to the side of W 11th Avenue in Eugene, police officials said.
There were no known injuries in the crash.
Officers were called out to W 11th and Almaden at around 3 p.m. Sunday on reports that a white Dodge Charger rear-ended a bus.
Passengers on the transit bus got out to help the driver who fled as soon as emergency crews arrived on-scene, Eugene Police Patrol Sergeant Dale Dawson said.
Sgt. Dawson said there was no indication that the man tried to stop the car before hitting the bus.
Witnesses told police the man was Hispanic with a medium build. Officers searched the area but couldn't find the driver.
