MARCOLA, Ore. - State police took three people with open warrants into custody Saturday morning after a high-speed chase down Marcola Road, officials said.
The chase started when a trooper tried to stop a Toyota outside of Springfield for speeding on Marcola Road, officials said.
The driver sped off north toward Mohawk High School, eventually stopping in a driveway off Wendling Rd.
The driver and his two female passengers told police they didn't know who was living at the residence, simply deciding it was a good place to stop.
Troopers arrested the male driver for reckless driving, reckless endangering and attempt to elude. Police later found he had a warrant out for his arrest.
State Police Sgt. Michael Brewster said the two female passengers both had open warrants. They were taken into custody, however they were not charged in connection with the police chase.
