EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon reinstated their baseball program in 2009. Along with it came the brand new PK Park.
After five years, the NCAA ranked the ballpark in the top college parks in the U.S.
The association put together a list of the top five coolest venues in college baseball. The University of Oregon's PK Park came in at number three.
The ducks ranked behind San Diego and Louisiana State on the NCAA’s list.
Players like Oregon infielder Mitchell Tolman say the action off the field is a big reason for the venue's high ranking.
"A big thing is the environment, obviously with Autzen right here next to us we have always an electric crowd of people coming out. Especially when it's nice out it gets to be a lot of fun,” said Tolman.
The Ducks begin a three game series at PK Park Thursday night at 6 p.m. against the Washington State Cougars.
