EUGENE, Ore. -- Around 150 competitors from across the U.S. came to the Oregon Horse Center for the Northwest Mountain Trail Championships. Now in its 12th year, the mountain trail horse competition has events scheduled from Friday to Sunday.
The indoor course took 11 days to construct and features all-natural obstacles, from the dirt and rocks to the trees. The arena is also fitted with pools and a waterfall.
Riders and horse trainers say this year's course is the best one that the Oregon Horse Center has put together.
