Minivan catches fire on Kilcullen Memorial Highway

EUGENE, Ore. -- Firetrucks blocked one lane of I-105 eastbound Saturday night after a minivan caught fire on the shoulder of the road.

Crews were called out at around 9:40 p.m. Saturday to put out a vehicle fire near where the I-105 Chris Kilcullen Memorial Highway meets up with Interstate 5.

Firefighters who doused the flames said the fire stayed mostly in the engine compartment, however the front-end of the van was damaged.

No one was hurt in the fire and crews quickly cleared the scene.
