Man with fake gun arrested by cops with real guns

SALEM, Ore. - A man with a mishmash of bicycle parts fashioned to look like a gun was taken into custody by state troopers with real guns Thursday afternoon.

The investigation started with multiple reports of a man pointed a gun at passing cars on an Interstate 5 exit ramp in Salem.

State troopers spotted the man and took him into custody at gunpoint.

In a holster on his belt, they found what appears to be a homemade mash up of a handlebar grip, a bicycle stem and a frame mount for a U-lock fashioned to look like a gun.

Troopers booked Noe Gonzalez, 52, into the Marion County Jail on charges of menacing and disorderly conduct.
