EUGENE, Ore. - The actor who portrayed a Chilean-born Albuquerque restaurateur (and drug cartel kingpin) on the critically acclaimed series "Breaking Bad" was the keynote speaker at Monday's Martin Luther King Day events at Lane Community College.

Giancarlo Esposito played Gustavo "Gus" Fring on AMC's "Breaking Bad."

He now plays Major Tom Neville on the NBC drama series "Revolution."

His portrayal of Gus on "Breaking Bad" won the 2012 Critics Choice Award and earned a 2012 Emmy nomination.

"In our remembrance of him, it is very important to look into our own hearts today and see where our own spiritual, moral and political prejudices lie," Esposito said.
