NOTI, Ore. - A log truck driver escaped injury Tuesday morning when his log truck and trailer overturned along Highway 126W west of Noti in Lane County.

The load of logs spilled off the highway into the front yard of a nearby home, damaging a power pole and closing the highway for hours.

The loaded truck was eastbound on Hwy 126 around 11:20 a.m. when the logs started to fall off the trailer in a curve, causing the truck and trailer to overturn, Oregon State Police said.

The truck and trailer came to rest on the side of the highway.

The logs came to rest on the shoulder and in a yard at 22092 Highway 126W.

The driver, Eric S. Wedekind, 39, of Yoncalla had no apparent injury, police said.

Some of the logs damaged a power pole and dropped power lines.

The highway was closed while Emerald People's Utility District crews repaired the pole and lines.

One lane of Hwy 126 reopened to traffic around 2:15 p.m. One lane remained closed as of 3:15 p.m.
