EUGENE, Ore. - A University of Oregon grad student and a graphic designer have teamed up to help keep feet warm this winter.

After seeing a YouTube video made by the popular “Kid President,” Katie Richanbach and Roger Smith jumped on the bandwagon.

The Kid President asked the nation to start Socktober.

Socktober is about doing the smallest acts that make a big difference, like donating new socks to help the homeless.

There are three public drop boxes in Lane County.

  • Bagel Sphere - 810 Willamette St
  • DIVA Center - 280 W Broadway (at Lincoln) | open Thurs-Sat, 1-5 PM
  • UO Physics Office - 120 Willamette Hall

All the donated socks with then be donated to The Eugene Mission.
