ROSEBURG, Ore. - A judge rejected Terri Horman's request to change her name to Claire Stella Sullivan.

Horman was the last person to see her stepson Kyron Horman in 2010. She has since divorced Kyron's biological father and moved to Roseburg.

In an hour-long hearing Monday, Horman took the stand and said she'd received death threats and had trouble finding work. She told the court she want to change her name to "start over a new life without having the stigma of Horman attached to it."

During the hearing, four women testified against the name change.

They argued Horman has never fully cooperated with investigators looking for her stepson.

The judge decided Horman shouldn't be allowed to change her name while there's an ongoing investigation.
