LaneCo man severely ill from swine flu

EUGENE, Ore. - A local man severely ill from the H1N1 swine flu has been in the hospital for about week, Lane County Public Health confirmed.

The man was a normal, healthy adult with no problems before falling ill, health officials said. He was in intensive care but is now in stable condition.

A free flu vaccine clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 101 W. 10th Avenue. The goal is to vaccinate 500 people.
