EUGENE, Ore. -- A natural gas leak closed 18th Avenue at Jefferson Friday afternoon as crews work to repair the ruptured line.
The intersection was reopened at around 6 p.m. Friday night.
Officials from the public works department said the pipe was damaged at around 2 p.m. during street repair in the area near Jefferson City Park. No one was reported injured during the incident.
Northwest Natural crews had fixed the leak and patched the roadway nearly four hours after the leak started.
