SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - The Friends of the Springfield Library is holding its annual book sale Friday and Saturday.
The event puts thousands of books up for sale.
Readers can find everything from kids books to cook books, mystery to media (from VHS tapes to e books).
The sale usually raises about $7,000.
Organizers said the friends group funds the e book program at the library, as well as some children's literacy programs.
Organizers said it's important to help the library, which they call a vital service, because the economy is still rough and they want to offer library officials a little wiggle room in their budget.
The sale is Friday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Springfield Public Library.
