LYONS, Ore. - John Bach rented a room in his house to Wanda Foster and her son, Jonathan.
However, after having problems with Jonathan, Bach decided to kick Jonathan out of his house and file a restraining order.
Two weeks later, around midnight Friday, Bach said Jonathan woke him up.
According to Bach, Foster told him that he was there to kill him and started punching him in the face.
“I was down on the bed so they put a pillow over me and he had his hand in the middle of the pillow, pushing. He said ‘Die, you’re going to die,’ and I was thinking in my head, ‘Boy, you’re right,’” said Bach.
When Foster learned that Bach was wearing a pacemaker for heart problems, Bach said Foster struck him several times in the chest.
After assaulting Bach, the sheriff's office said Jonathan Foster, Justina Chilcote and David Gonzalez Jr. fled the scene in Bach’s stolen truck.
The vehicle was later involved in a hit-and-run incident in Salem, where it was abandoned.
Police received a call around 1:30 from Wanda Foster, who claimed she was bound and robbed by her son and his acquaintances.
Upon their arrival, police discovered Bach unconscious in his bedroom. He was transported to a Salem hospital, where he received medical care.
Bach said that several items of his were stolen, including money from under his mattress, a collection of silver coins, and a family heirloom passed down from his great-great-grandmother.
“That’s the thing that bothers me the most," he said. "I was doing my will and trying to figure out which one of my boys I was going to give it to. Now, I don’t have to worry about it, I guess."
Justina Chilcote and Jonathan Foster, both of Mill City, were arrested and charged with kidnapping, assault, robbery and attempted murder.
Police are still searching for David Gonzalez Jr. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call (541) 967-3950.
