Brothers, 11 and 8, hurt in ATV crash

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Two brothers, ages 11 and 8, who were riding an ATV on private property without helmets suffered injuries when the younger boy lost control of the ATV and crashed, the Benton County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded to a report of a crash around 7:15 p.m. Monday.

The older boy was taken by air ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in critical condition, the sheriff's office said. His injuries are considered life-threatening, the sheriff's office said.

The younger boy was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital.

The sheriff's office said the investigation is continuing.
