Albany woman dies after crashing into tree

ALBANY, Ore. - An Albany woman died early Saturday morning when her car went off the side of the of the road and hit a tree, the Linn County Sheriff's Office said.

Officials said that Lorissa Kisman-Noble, 45, was driving a Kia Rio east on Grand Prairie Road when at about 2:45 a.m. her car left the roadway near the Snyder Road intersection

Her car continued off the north side of the road and struck a cedar tree. Officials said she was not wearing a seat belt.

A person living nearby heard the crash and called 911. Emergency responders closed down the roadway for several hours while deputies conducted their investigation.

Deputies said they think alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.
