EUGENE, Ore. -- Mercedes Crabtree sat appeared in court with handcuffs on, tears streaming down her face as she described some of the last moments of Celestino Gutierrez Jr.'s life.
Crabtree was called to testify in the murder trial of David Ray Taylor, who stands accused of murdering 22-year-old Gutierrez back in August of 2012.
Portland residents A.J. Scott Nelson and Mercedes Crabtree were also charged with their participation in Gutierrez’s death.
Taylor allegedly asked Nelson to stage a fight with Crabtree, leaving her at the Cue Bar and Grill in Eugene. Crabtree then was told to lure a stranger into giving her a ride home.
Crabtree told the court she was physically shaking in the passenger's seat of Guttierez, scared for what will happen when they arrive at Tayor’s house.
