BLUE RIVER, Ore. -- The 911 Emergency call service was disrupted Sunday afternoon for the nearly 200 people living in Blue River, along the McKenzie River and in the surrounding area, an official from Century Link said.
The Century Link representative said that only 911 service is down, and land-line customers can only dial out to people living in their area. Cell phone service doesn't seem to be affected.
Officials expect to have the problem fixed by 10 p.m. Sunday night.
People experiencing an emergency in the area can still call 541-822-3479 to get ahold of local Fire and Emergency personnel.
