8th annual Whiteaker Block Party: 'It’s only going to exponentially grow'

EUGENE, Ore. -- Hundreds strolled through the streets of Whiteaker district Saturday for the 8th annual Whiteaker Block Party; which blends the art, food, music and people that build one of Eugene’s most culturally diverse neighborhoods.

Nathaniel Klute, one of the organizers behind the bash, said part of their success each year comes from the increased commerce in the area.

“We actually booked out all our vendors spaces, so it’s only going to exponentially grow,” Klute said. “If we want it to keep growing we have to be super good to the city and the city will be good to us.”

A non-stop rotation of bands playing 10 stages kept the party rocking until 10 p.m. Saturday.
