EUGENE, Ore. -- Six people were sent to the hospital early Sunday morning after a car crash on the Highway 99 overpass, the Eugene Police Department said.
Officials said the crash happened just after midnight when a Mazda sedan collided with a Mitsubishi Galant in the southbound lanes where Highway 99 goes over the railroad tracks.

Crews closed the southbound lanes for nearly 3 hours while they worked in the area. Traffic was rerouted at the Roosevelt intersection.
