$250 reward in killing of deer in Eugene neighborhood

EUGENE, Ore. - Someone shot and killed a large buck in a residential area of Eugene on Friday, Oregon State Police said.

A reward of up to $250 is being offered through the Oregon Hunters Association for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

The black-tailed buck deer found shot and left to waste in a residential area in South Eugene.

In the early hours of November 15, 2013, residents in the area south of 18th between Bailey Hill Road and Chambers Street awoke to the sound of gunfire.

Residents saw the suspects spotlighting the large black-tailed buck deer.

The buck died and was left to waste in a field along Hawkins Lane.
