A talented artist is getting attention by using the humble disposable coffee cup as their canvas. "Jimmy T." enhances his morning coffee cups with striking pop culture-inspired drawings, and then leaves them behind for other people to discover. "My cup art frenzy began last year in the spring when I was sitting at a local Coffee Shop, The Wild Boar, in Fort Collins working on a commissioned drawing. I finished it a lot faster than I had anticipated so I had extra time to kill and decided to doodle on the white coffee cup which held my Mocha. I doodled Batman's face on it and left it at my table. I came back the next day to find that the Batman cup was at the front desk for everyone to see! So I elusively began coming there daily and doing more drawings on the white cups. Eventually the employees at the Wild Boar found me out and we worked out a deal where I draw on the white cups and they sell them for $5 each," he said. "It's been an interesting and educational experience for me as it's strengthened my drawing and colouring skills, as well as fulfilling my nostalgic sensibilities since I'm one of those weirdos that grew up watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, The Blues Brothers, Monty Python, and played old school Nintendo games like Mega-Man, Mario, and so on and so forth."
