Criminals beware: If you think jumping into water is enough to get the cops off your tail in San Francisco, think again. The officers are now equipped with quads that can morph into jet skis to patrol the waters. Powered by the BMW Motorrad K1300 engine, the Quadski XL is capable of attaining speeds of up to 45mph on both land and water, so unless you can swim fast, you ain't getting away. Even better, the SFPD didn't have to pay for the Quadskis; they were a gift from Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff, who gave three of the cool contraptions to the city. Every year across the globe Red Bull holds various events requiring competitors to build and race their own contraptions. One of this year’s team entrants to the Red Bull Soap Box race, ‘You Gotham Be Kidding Me’, created this life-size version of the Lego Batmobile. Because you can really only get Lego in two sizes - regular and Duplo - the team had to use corrugated cardboard to realize their creation. The driver, Kristian Howson, actually works at a box store and designs cardboard packaging for a living, so the team had access to all of the materials, tools, and know-how, except for the metal frame which guaranteed the Batmobile didn't collapse right off the line. They may not have won this year’s event, but team members Kristian (Batman), Nathan Howson (Robin), Lee Mansfield (Joker) and Marc Stobbs (Penguin) can certainly be proud of their efforts. Would the Wicked Snow Queen have been quite so jealous of Snow White if her luscious dark locks were replaced by a badass skin head? Or would Cinderella have been made to slave quite so hard by her mean step-mother if her gorgeous blonde mane were replaced by a more modern shorter crop? Thanks to a digital artist Roosa Karlsson, who also goes by the name of ‘The Nameless Doll’, you can decide the answer to these questions yourself. Along with some of Disney’s most famous leading ladies, Snow White and Cinderella have gone short in this unique photo shop series! Imagine the queen’s expression when she sees that her daughter is not only embarrassing her entire clan, but she has also cut off her long locks. :o I imagine that it would have been some kind of a statement from Merida to her mother, that no one can control her. PS: This is basically the exact same hairstyle that her little brothers have, except not as puffy upwards. (Photo: WENN.com)
