Further bus visits Oregon campus as part of new Ken Kesey documentary

EUGENE, Ore. - Zane Kesey, son of Oregon author Ken Kesey, brought “Further II” to the University of Oregon campus on Thursday.

The bus is the second of the two colorful International Harvester school buses purchased by his father. Ken Kesey drove the original “Further” bus across the country on his famous 1964 psychedelic excursion captured in Tom Wolfe's "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test."

The event was in conjunction with the new Oregon Experience documentary “Ken Kesey” airing on Monday, January 20 at 9 p.m. on OPB TV. The documentary premieres Thursday night at the McDonald Theater in downtown Eugene.
