*The Rose Bowl stadium would not be built for another five years (it hosted its first Rose Bowl on January 1st, 1923). The "Webfeet" played the University of Pennsylvania in Pasadena's Tournament Park, winning 14-0.

*Babe Ruth still played for the Boston Red Sox (he was traded to the Yankees in 1920).
