Florence (KMTR) - This weekend volunteers throughout the City of Florence are joining forces to make their community a better place.  Saturday is the first annual "Power of Florence” event, a one-day city-wide day of service. Nearly 30 clean-up projects and fundraisers are planned and a small boy is leading one of them.

On Saturday, 5-year-old Morgan Wondra will be handing out lemonade in Old Town. All donations he collects will benefit 15-year-old Trevor Denning.

Trevor was seriously hurt in an ATV crash over a month ago. He is now paralyzed.

Trevor is the best friend of Morgan's brother. On Saturday, Morgan will tell everyone who stops by for lemonade, just what a good guy Trevor is.

“He's my friend and he's hurt and I really still care about him,” Morgan says.

Morgan will be offering his lemonade by the gazebo on Bay Street on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
