Eugene (KMTR) - A clash of opinions gets physical at the University of Oregon and an adjunct professor is booted off campus.  58-year-old James Olmsted, an adjunct professor at the UO Law School, is facing charges of theft and harassment.  He was ticketed in lieu of an arrest Thursday.

Police say Olmsted got into an argument with a group of students, who were protesting near the Erb Memorial Union. The group was demonstrating against U.S. immigration policy.  Cell phone video now posted on YouTube shows things escalated quickly.  In the video Olmsted is heard swearing, seen taking off his jacket and shoving a student.  At one point the video shows Olmsted grabbing the camera phone after realizing he was being video taped.  Olmsted was told by administrators not to return to campus and his classes have been reassigned.
