CORVALLIS, Ore. (KMTR) - Corvallis Police hope a reward will generate new leads in the search for a man who assaulted two women near Oregon State University.

An anonymous donor has stepped forward and offered a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

Last month two women were attacked near the Oregon State University campus. Police say the assaults happened eleven days apart, just a short distance from each other. Both victims gave similar descriptions of the attacker and police do believe they’re looking for one suspect. Oregon State Police (OSP) and Corvallis Police joined forces and combined resources hoping to finally put a suspect behind bars.

"We have our detectives teamed up with other detectives in a task force situation. They are both sharing information and following up on a lot of tips and the Oregon State Police crime lab is involved," said Lieutenant Steve Mitchell of Oregon State Police.

The man is described as a white male in his 20s, 6’ to 6’ 3”, with an athletic build and dark eyebrows. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweat shirt with a white circle with cursive writing going through the circle on the back.

If you have any information, please contact Corvallis Police or Oregon State Police.
