Myrtle Creek, Ore (KMTR) Police say they’ve started receiving calls from parents in North Myrtle Creek saying their kids have often spotted a man in a white pick-up following slowly behind them, when they're walking home after school. Some kids say they even saw the man taking pictures of them.

The neighborhood is home to both Coffenberry Middle, and Myrtle Creek Elementary Schools. Residents say they're definitely concerned, but take comfort in safety talks they've already had with their kids.

Devron Spicer lives right next to Coffenberry Middle School where his kids attend.

"When they walk to school I just make sure I’m paying attention, then when we get back we just have general conversations, we each know our own routes to get back and forth to school,” says Spicer, “just talk to my wife and kids, see if they've seen anything."

The suspect is described as a tall, skinny, white man. Police have been patrolling the area looking for him. They say the man could be driving around other nearby schools as well. They've had similar calls come in from parents in Riddle.

If you see anything suspicious call Myrtle Creek Police at 541-440-4471 or 541-863-5222.
