Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into Friday morning's traffic crash on Highway 36 east of Triangle Lake in Lane County that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an Oregon State University student from Washington state.

According to Senior Trooper Gale Cochell, on October 12 at approximately 7:30 a.m. a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Nicole R. Sallee, age 19, from Woodland, Washington was eastbound on Highway 36 near Milepost 38 at Alderwood State Park when the driver lost control negotiating a curve. The car traveled off the highway, struck and knocked over a utility pole and came to rest on its top.

Sallee crawled from the car and was helped by a passing motorist until emergency responders arrived on scene. Sallee was transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. She was using safety restraints.
