Nursing students hold flu shot clinic

Eugene, Ore. (KMTR) - A day of prevention and training at the Eugene mission.

Close to a dozen nursing students provided free vaccines to anyone who walked in the door Wednesday.

Student nurses from LCC teamed up with the Oregon Adult Immunization Coalition to do it.

People received several types of shots, including, flu, pneumonia, hepatitis b.

The clinic is also great training for nursing students.

Students will hold just a flu shot clinic at the Whiteaker Community Dinner on Thanksgiving.
