EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- For the first time locally, 'Bully' has come to the big screen. It's playing at the Regal Cinema 15 at Valley River Mall.
The documentary follows five students through a school year. It also follows two families grieving after they lost children due to bullying. The movie aims to show realistic situations and the real-life effects of bullying.
There was some controversy previously with the film's ratings whether it should be rated R or PG-13 due to language. The director didn't want to budge on the movie because he wanted to make it as realistic as possible, but ended up compromising so more children could see it.
The movie is now rated PG-13.
