SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A Salem man who called 911 to complain that his marijuana was missing from his truck was charged with drunken driving when sheriff's deputies found him.
The man told dispatchers that someone had broken into his truck and stolen cash, a jacket and a small amount of marijuana while he was at a tavern in Salem.
Marion County sheriff's deputies said 21-year-old Calvin Hoover was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants.
But deputies say it took a second 911 call from the man to track him down. He called to complain that deputies had not arrived, but the dispatcher had trouble understanding him because he was driving and stopping several times to vomit.
