EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) - The Dancing Weasel will soon be offering free weekly Story Time and Music Time for little ones.

The owners of a new toy store are offering free, quality activities for young readers. The Dancing Weasel was opened in December by the mother-daughter team Danita Reynolds and Aya Lyddon. So far, business has been good.

Now, the owners are looking for ways to reach out to the community. Aya and Danita decided on a weekly story and music time, a break for parents when winter activities are limited.

"I have three children and I know how difficult it is to find different things to do in Eugene, especially with the weather, when it is yucky,” says Aya. “So being able to offer this is just a really great benefit to parents who need activities for their children, [to] get them out of the house for a little bit.”

Story Time will be at 11:00 AM every Tuesday and will last about an hour. Music Time will be Thursdays at 3:00 PM and will last 30 to 45 minutes. Both activities kick off the last week in February at The Dancing Weasel, 30 East 17th Avenue in Eugene.
