I received one of these "poll" calls early this month. The pollster read me different phrases and would then ask if that particular phrase would increase my chances of voting positively for increased funding. I felt as if the entire poll was simply trying out various marketing gimmicks to see which would get my vote and I found it very distasteful, to say the least. I kept telling the pollster that it didn't matter what phrase was used on me, the deciding factor is always my bottom dollar (the family budget). Attempting to trick folks into voting is vile...

So when are the commissioners willing to take a cut in that $70,000.00 (with full benefits) salary? Are THEY WILLING TO SACRIFICE SOMETHING?

Only a moron would vote for more tax's. These armature politicians can only govern with an unlimited source of funding. It takes leadership to stay within a budget, something Eugene fails in many categories. They have an appetite for as much money as they can get and they will never change unless we show them we will not give them more money.

Only a moron, a criminal and pro criminal will vote no. I hope the "no" voters are victims of viscous crimes. If you dumbas s give up 1 mocha a week you can easily pay for the small increase in property tax..that is IF you own property

All that Lane County's recent releases of inmates has shown me- is how inept our law enforcement are! I will not be voting yes on ANY tax levies for this debacle!
