OK Iam a taxpayer and I will pay for the levy as much as I do Not want to I will-I don't own a bunch a guns like you to defend myself. Im sick of the cops getting paid to arrest and not keeping them imprisoned, what sense does that make. That's the real waste of paying the cops to just release criminals in the next breath.

the thing that the city council is not telling us, is if they pass this ballot measure, the plan for the new tax levy is to give them the freedom to remove more money from the general fund for pet projects.this levy is not to add money for jail beds, this new levy will replace money's they would like to spend out of the general fund. there is no written part of the measure that will stop them from doing this.

I think its time to change the city charter. Change the laws and rewrite so NO ONE.. NOT EVEN A CITY COUNCIL. can put a ballot measure on the election without the minimum voter signatures that thr rest of us subjects would have to collect to get a ballot on the may elections.

So, you complain they are letting people out of jail and you complain that you have to pay to keep them in jail. Do you have a magic money tree in Lane County I don't know about?
