EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) – A Eugene outdoor program is asking the public for help after a recent equipment theft.

The City of Eugene's Outdoor Program at the River House says someone stole two sailboats, also the mast and boom from a third boat.

Program organizers say thieves stole the equipment from a locked Eugene Public Works parking lot where the boats were being stored.

The boats are used in the city's "youth sailing program."

Organizers of the program say the boats are made by a company called RS Feva Sailing and are a very unique boat to have.

Specifically, the stolen boats are called “RS Feva XL” sailboats. According theowners, there are only 12 in all of Oregon.

If you have any information, call the River House at 541-682-5329, or call Eugene Police.
