EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- The Oregon Ducks will likely be in Arizona January 3 for the 2013 Fiesta Bowl, but the team hasn't been officially invited yet. Local travel agents say football fans looking to travel with the team have a few options to consider before the bowl selections are finalized, some with more risk than others.
Premier Travel will put together a couple packages: one for fans looking for hotel accommodations and ground transportation to and from the game and another all-inclusive option with direct charter flights from Eugene. It's a little more expensive than booking all the different parts of a trip separately, but travel agents say it's the most convenient way to experience a bowl game. The packages are not for sale yet, but interested fans should call Premier now to get on a list. Spots will likely sell fast once the BCS announcements are made.
For fans looking to book a trip on their own, agents say you'll get a better rate on flights now, but run the risk of having to pay more if plans change. Most airlines charge around $150 to cancel a reservation.
