Coos Bay (KMTR) - Coos Bay Police say a man wanted on sex abuse charges turned himself in Monday. 29-year-old Reuben Downs is facing nine counts of Sex Abuse II. Officers first received a report in October that downs had been involved in a sexual relationship with a minor female. Police spent several weeks investigating the claims, but were unable to locate Downs, so they got an arrest warrant. Downs eventually learned of the warrant, and turned himself in.
Downs is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on February 6th. Investigators say at this point, they don't believe there are more victims, but if you have any additional information, call Coos Bay Police.
