Springfield (KMTR) - One person has been injured after a car plowed into a Mexican restaurant in Springfield.
It happened just before 2:00 at the intersection of South "A" Street, and South 19th Street.
The car smashed into the northwest corner of El Rey Mexican Restaurant causing heavy damage to the brick structure.
The brand new car was being driven by a man in his 30's. Police say he was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Nobody inside the restaurant was injured.
Police are not sure what caused the accident.
