EUGENE, Ore. (KMTR) -- Eugene police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to kidnap a little girl Monday afternoon from an elementary school.

Police say an adult man tried to grab the nine-year-old while she was at a water fountain on the south side of Eugene Corridor Elementary.

The school is next to North Eugene High School.

It happened at about one o'clock. The girl got away and the suspect ran off.

The suspect is described as 5'10" with a medium build, short brown hair and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and slacks or jeans.
