Coquille (KMTR) - Three suspects in a Coquille rape case appeared in Coos County court Friday. 19-year-old Spencer Shimota, 18-year-old Chay Gilbert, and the 17-year-old son of Coos County's district attorney are all accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl. All three attorneys asked for more time today. The defense lawyer for D.A. Paul Frasier's son said he needed to review new evidence in the case. The other two suspects may have some more details to work out with the Douglas County D.A., who is prosecuting all three cases.
The three suspects will appear next on the February 17th, when they will either enter a plea, or come to a settlement.
