Inspections range in price from seventy-five dollars for partial inspections to between one-hundred and fifty and three-hundred and fifty dollars for a whole house inspection, and are almost always paid by the buyer. The cost of inspections is generally based upon the size of the house. The greater the number of square feet, the greater the cost of the inspection. There are additional charges for inspection of items not considered part of a typical whole house inspection, such as water testing, septic and drain field testing, radon(RAY-DON) testing, and others. Prices are subject to change over periods of time and may vary from one inspection company to another. For more information on the costs of inspections, contact an inspection or real estate professional.
