Renee McCullough co-anchors NewsSource 16 at 5 and 5:30 PM with Matt Templeman Monday through Friday. They've been working together for more than 11 years . . . the first five of those in Spokane, Washington.
Renee's first job was a four year stint in Kennewick, Washington where she was a reporter and anchor. She then moved to Spokane, where she spent more than six years anchoring and reporting. She's been in Eugene since 2004.
Renee grew up in the Northwest, in both eastern and western Washington. She went to college at Washington State University, where she earned a degree in communications.
Renee’s been married to her husband Scott for ten years. He’s a pretty nice guy, except he’s a Washington Husky fan. She says not to hold that against him . . . no one’s perfect.
As you can imagine, the third week in November gets pretty interesting around their house, with Apple Cup and all. They have two sons: Nicholas, who’s nine and Ryan, who's two years younger. Luckily, they have a dog, a girl - Puggy Sue to - keep the household balanced.
In addition to spending time with her family, Renee likes to garden, cook and she’s pretty crafty. She also enjoys working with children in any capacity, whether volunteering to read at local schools or taking part in fundraising events.
