Nohelani Graf joined NewsSource 16 in January 2006 as a weekend anchor / producer and weekday reporter.

Nohelani brings more than five years of experience with her from southern Oregon where she wore a number of hats at KDRV-TV. She got her foot in the door as a production assistant working her way up from teleprompter operator to director. She even contributed as a director to the station’s Emmy win for Best Newscast in 2005.

While keeping busy behind the scene, Nohelani was moving just as quickly up the editorial ladder - first as an intern, then medical producer and finally as a one-man-band reporter for the Klamath Falls bureau.

Nohelani graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from Southern Oregon University where she was also president of the Ho’opa’a Hawaii Club and a Raider cheerleader.

As you may be able to tell by her name, Nohelani was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Kauai. And yes, she is a hula dancer.

Nohe got her first taste of the spotlight at her preschool graduation. During the program they started having technical difficulties. So before too much time passed, Nohe picked up the microphone and started telling jokes and talking to the audience, learning early on the true meaning of ad-libbing and stretching for time. Her parents were shocked.
