Megan Higgens recently moved back to Eugene after spending a year and a half in Roseburg as NewsSource 16’s Roseburg reporter and Douglas County Bureau chief.
While she has always been interested in reporting, Megan didn’t start there. She spent two years as a producer, before finally becoming a reporter.
Megan was born and raised in Portland and graduated from the University of Oregon with a Journalism degree. Go Ducks!
An avid fan of the outdoors, Megan loves everything Oregon has to offer. In her free time, Megan enjoys scuba diving – she’s a certified rescue diver- hiking, day trips to the Oregon Coast and spending time with friends and family.
