Jordan Steele joined the KMTR NEWSSOURCE 16 family in August 2010, joining Kelli Warner and Marc Mullins on NewsSource Today weekday mornings from 5am to 7am.
Jordan's been known for his humorous on-air personality along with the detailed weather knowledge he gives throughout the morning. Recently, the Associated Press presented Jordan with an award in the "Best Weathercast" category.
With only a few months away from a meteorology degree, Jordan looks to actively pursue his NWA Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association. "I'm excited to take my career as far as I can, to make sure I'm giving people the most accurate forecast."
Jordan moved to Oregon after spending 2 years working for KEPR/KIMA-TV in Washington where he forecasted severe thunderstorms, wind storms, and dissected different weather patterns that the Northwest offers.
When he’s not forecasting, you can find him anywhere outside - hiking a mountain, skiing the slopes, fishing the rivers, surfing the coast and camping in the woods are just a few of the activities he enjoys. Jordan is married to his high school sweetheart and they are thrilled to be living in this beautiful area.
