My name is Darren Fabre and I’m relatively new to KMTR. However, I’m not new to Eugene.
I graduated from The University of Oregon in 2001, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media. I have benefitted from internships and real-life experience to get to where I am now, and I expect to stay in the area for several years.
Sports is my passion. It’s not the only thing I think about, but it’s close. I love to have as much fun as possible doing my job. And I think the people in our community respond to the positive energy that I exude.
Sports should be fun, and that’s the way I look at it every time I go out to do a story, interview athletes, anchor a sportscast, or interact with the community.
